Tejas Networks Bags Rs 1,537 Crore TCS Order for BSNL 4G Rollout

Tejas Networks has secured a Letter of Intent (LoI) valued at Rs 1,537 crore from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to supply Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment, accessories, and installation materials for 18,685 sites under Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited's (BSNL) 4G mobile network expansion.

This order corresponds to an add-on purchase order that TCS received from BSNL to scale up indigenous 4G network coverage. Under the framework of the partnership, TCS manages the overall planning, commissioning, and annual maintenance of the sites, while Tejas Networks acts as the core technology provider for the necessary telecom and network equipment.

The latest agreement follows the companies' broader collaboration on BSNL’s major indigenous 4G rollout, which originally stemmed from a massive contract awarded in May 2023. This ongoing partnership remains a significant driver for both BSNL's domestic telecommunications infrastructure goals and the revenue expansion of India's indigenous tech and hardware ecosystem.
